This is to inform you that aetoxisclerol has been used for superficial broken blood vessels,
or telangiectasia. Aetoxisclerol is injected into the blood vessel and takes several weeks to
several months to see some effect. There is no guarantee however that it will work. There might be a need for more than one treatment, and if this treatment does not work then other methologies need to be tried. This treatment can sometimes leave pigmentation behind. The side effects that are seen are, but not limited to, allergic reaction, slight blistering, bruising, possible blood clot at injection site, swelling, superficial thrombophlebitis, ulceration; however has been quite rare. This office has used AETOXISCLEROL for several years as have other dermatologist around the country. The drug however is not FDA approved. If you have any further questions please fell free to contact my office. |
